Our COVID-19 Response

As an organisation, DLi follows the South Australian Government’s Directions and advice. Our COVID Action Team (CAT) continues to review the COVID-19 situation across South Australia and adapt to the changes to keep our clients and staff as healthy, safe and supported as possible. This page is dedicated to keeping our clients, their families, carers and guardians up to date with DLi’s current COVID response, including helpful resources, reporting exposures, and who to contact.

COVID-19 FAQs

Here are some quick answers to some frequently asked questions.

As with other respiratory illnesses, some people infected with coronavirus disease may experience mild symptoms and will recover easily, and others may become very ill and need urgent medical care.

Symptoms of COVID-19 can include:

  • fever (a temperature of 37.5˚C or higher) or chills
  • cough
  • loss of taste or smell
  • sore throat
  • tiredness (fatigue)
  • runny or blocked nose
  • shortness of breath (difficulty breathing)
  • nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea
  • headache
  • muscle or joint pain
  • loss of appetite

For some people, it can be more severe and can lead to pneumonia or breathing difficulties and can even be fatal. Call 000 if you need urgent medical help.

If you or someone you know has tested positive through a Rapid antigen Test (RAT) or PCR test, we recommend following the SA Health directions.

Once you have registered the positive test with the SA Government, please contact DLI’s COVID Action Team immediately on 08 8132 5400 so we can take the appropriate actions.
